Education and Workforce Development Committee to Convene for Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program Briefing This Week
The Prince George’s County Council will convene on Tuesday, March 14h at 10:00 a.m. Council session will include the presentation and introduction of measures, and the review of Proposed Correspondence. Among legislative measures scheduled for public hearings on Tuesday and eligible for final vote:
CB-009-2023 legislation for the purpose of Prince George's County's Watershed Protection and Restoration Financial Assurance Plan (FAP) for approving the Prince George's County Financial Assurance as required by State law.
Public Hearings will be held for Executive Appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission and the Washington Suburban Transit Commission.

CB-023-2023 proposed legislation establishing the Prince George’s County Rental Assistance Program and Rental Assistance Fund; providing financial rental assistance to Prince George’s County residents based on AMI level and rent increases; awards shall be eligible for monthly disbursements up to (6) months over the course of a (24) month period; and assistance may be applied for every (2) years.
CB-024-2023 proposed legislation for the purpose of enacting the Prince George’s County Rental Assistance Act of 2023, prohibiting sudden increases in rent, known as rent gouging, establishing the Prince George’s County Rental Assistance Program and Prince George’s County Rental Assistance Fund, and generally relating to rental assistance for modest income Prince George’s County residents.
CB-025-2023 proposed legislation amending the Nonresidential and Mixed Use Form and Design Standards of the Zoning Ordinance to prohibit placement of donation boxes for collection of household and personal items on the exterior property areas and associated parking areas.
CB-026-2023 for the purpose of including a pre-application neighborhood meeting requirement, subject to all required notification requirements, to the application procedures for Use and Occupancy permits in the County.
