$500,000 Grant Program Seeks Community Solutions for Ending Domestic Violence in Prince George’s County 

The Prince George’s County Council will host a Pre-Proposal Conference for the FY 2019 Prince George’s County Council Grant Program on Friday, August 10, 2018, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Council Committee Room 2027, 14741 Gov. Oden Bowie Drive, in Upper Marlboro. A second pre-proposal conference will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the same location.

The Prince George’s County Council Grant Program provides funding support to programs that serve the housing, counseling or advocacy needs of County residents who are victims of domestic violence. The program also supports prevention activities through a coordinated and collaborative community response to domestic violence in the County. The Council has invested an additional $1.5 million County dollars in grant funding to fight domestic violence, including $500,000 in FY 2017 and $500,000 in FY 2018 to a total of 19 nonprofits.
